My art is very direct. Everyone can immediately see what it’s about: worlds that are too seldom spoken of, but which everyone in this world is intimately connected to.
Halloween in the Spring. Nothing is what it seems. This is a party of course, we laugh and we dance, not in the dark but with the dark. Birth, love, death, is that all there is? The art I feel connected to is mostly outside the Western tradition: from Japanese brush drawings to Mexican folk art, from tantric temple statues to prehistoric cave paintings… To me, these are not cultural fossils but living dragons.
The exhibition also features events by performing artists from the neighborhood, the city and the world. This small festival can provide visitors with a surprising experience: is this all possible too?

Mijn kunst is heel direct.
Halloween in the Spring.
